This morning.

This morning I had a lie in until a quarter to eleven.

This morning, when I got downstairs, I raced over to the calendar and couldn't get it off the wall fast enough.

This morning, as I turned the page at a speed at which I'd never done before, I gave the calendar a hug.

It's July.

I'm so pleased with that. I smiled at the sunshine and ice cream sundaes in pictures. Later on today, I'll treat myself (actually, my grandmother's going to get me one) to an ice-cream. A Brunch to be precise. They're so tasty. What's your favorite ice cream?
I'm also making these. I love Ashley Ann! She's amazing. :) And there's no sewing skill required, just glue. I've got glue.
Although the weather is kind of bad, I'm relishing this first day of Summer/July!

How are you celebrating?

Sunday.

It's Sunday. On Sundays I am greeted with fresh bread and scrumptious pan au chocolat from the Jewish Bakery. On Sundays there are five or even six people instead of just us four in the house. On Sundays I can just relax. On Sundays it's just tradition, no new ideas, no nothing. Just our family tradition.
On Sundays I can make myself comfortable at the desk and work away on essays, blogging or wander off to find a book. Sundays are easy going. Sundays are when we take a break before school or work the next morning.
This Sunday is a time for new blog designs, this Sunday is a time when I will gladly inform you that 'Photographer's Week' is starting the next day.

Do you like my new blog design? I started on it yesterday or the day before and got it finished this afternoon (:. Do spread the love on photographer's week by clicking on 'grab my buttons' and taking the photographer's week one. It would be much appreciated.

To Travel {to Berlin}

Fello blogger Libby (her fabulous blog has 70 followers! Jealous much?) is travelling to Paris tomorrow. I left a lengthy comment on her latest blog post about trips I'd like to take, and trips I've taken (oh and I said 'have fun' too). The whole thing just inspired me to tell you a bit about that sort of thing.

{via}

Berlin. I've always liked Germany, and the language is alright, the shopping centers vast and the cities and villages are nice. Over the Summer, I went to Berlin with my family. I went to all the touristy kinds of places like the Berlin wall (came home with a bit of it that I purchased at the airport) and the holocaust memorial and others, along with Galleria Kaufof and KaDeWe (shopping centers) and our lovely hotel. It walked the legs off us but was enjoyable. And we went to the zoo. {Knut died, how sad is that?}We also met up with my dad's friend. It rained some, and was actually kind of scary with a bit of thunder as we returned from a shopping trip absolutely soaked. But we had ice-cream. We were okay after that.
We all came home tired, with goodies for others and absolutely thrilled. I would and will go back to Berlin anytime. I feel so lucky to be just two or three hours away from places like Germany, although it's not like 'Oh hey! Why don't we go to Germany today?' but still, it's saves us a massive journey.

Where are any interesting places you've been to? Is there any place you'd really like to go?

My Dear Little Child

I love you,Kate
Really, I do,
You're the best out of the twenty nine of you.

Your cute little sayings Easy Peasy!
And your lovely red locks,
Your cute little eyes,
Better than socks!

I'm happy to see you as you play with a friend,
But so sad to know that the time when your hand was in mine,
is coming to an end.

I love you little Kate,
Like a sweet teddy bear,
I want you to know,
That really, I care.
 - Maeve B.

I know the sweetest little girl. She's only five. I mind her in school. She used to put her hand in mine. She's growing more distant. She's playing with friends. Girls I would prefer my little Kate wouldn't know. Girls that are cute, but not so nice. My little Kate. I miss her littleness in my hands. I miss the conversation we had. I know she's still there. But she won't be for long. As in a few months, I'm moving on.

Coffee.

I like the flavour of coffee. Coffee cake, coffee biscuits, you name it. I also like the colour and smell of it. My sister has become obsessed with it over the past... week? So, she was making a cup earlier and I commented saying, well, all the above. She then forced me {no joke} to try the 'real' thing.
I did. Antial reacting '*gag*', added milk & sugar 'Hm... nothing special. I'd have to have a few cups to "get into it"' and my 14 year old sister found it amazing that I was able to sense 'an acquired taste'. . .
I seriously need to 'stop doing this' air quote things. Well, they aren't air quotes but you know...

I've wanted to write a post for a while now, but still debating over whether I should 'On the lalath day before Christmas I lalalalallala'.

In other news,
 Christmas is coming.

The thing that really {I've probably said this before though} set it off was when we started singing Christmas songs in school again. It's so ridiculously fun. And it's my final year doing it. Sigh.

Okay. I take it back.

Maybe, just maybe, the feeling of Christmas entered me when we sang the carols we do each year in school. Eight years of Silent Night {In English, Irish & German}, Away in a manger and O' Come all Ye Faithful. I'm actually just being nostalgic here, but this year will be my last. I'm such a nostalgic person.
Anyway, Maybe it was the blasted/beautiful snow we've been getting here since Sunday. I am seriously, unable to leave the house. I'd rather like to, but for the fact that our gutter will collapse at any second and I don't particularly want to be under it when it does. And also, as far as I know, there is black ice all around.
But. It could be just the fact that it's December.
December is a beautiful month. Not quite physically. But just think. Icicles {I actually saw my 'first icicle' on Tuesday}, if we're lucky, a lovely sheet of snow creating a scene no photographer would want to miss. Atmosphere; mannerly people, light hearted friends, just the overall air of the place. Emotion. We see relatives we haven't seen much or at all throughout the year. We have big celebrations that evoke all sorts of emotion. Happiness, bliss, gladness. Even tears come in some cases. Then, of course, presents. We are all guilty for wanting things, whether it's an action man or an SLR. But, of course, we're satisfied, even overjoyed. We'll last till next year {more like our birthdays}.
Decorations, I love, to pieces. I've jazzed up my room a little, though we won't start decorating, putting up the tree, etc. until two weeks/ten days before Christmas.
Then the cheesy songs. Of course, who could forget them? All I want for Christmas is you... Ooooh! Baby! - that would be a catchy one in my opinion (:

Also, this is my 200th post. I'm glad to think I've lasted this long. Anyway, here is my attempt to give you a good 200th post-post.

I cannot believe I'm two shy of 40 followers. Thank you to all my followers, and happy Christmas Season!

Winter?

Yes, you are all loving Autumn. I do not like Autumn or 'Fall' as you say it. Am I weird? But, the actual Autumn weather is only kicking off now. The leaves outside are only in the past week falling to the ground. Outside, all the leaves are yellow. No, not red or brown or orange. Yellow. It amuses me actually.
Yellow is supposed to be a happy colour but I'd think of it as more of a headache colour. Oh well.

I think of the seasons and their weather{s} to match up with months. I guess that's what we're all taught but many think differently.

So, going by that August through October is Autumn. But, it just happens to be November. So, that's winter, right? If it is, I'm the happiest person in the world. Alright, a bit of an exaggeration there. But, I do not like Autumn. No, the yellow leaves don't bring cheer. Nor the orange or the red. Not the brown. Not the leave covered pavements. Not the poetic sound of the word 'Autumn'. No, 'Fall' sounds better here. The fall of the leaves. The death of the leaves actually. Okay. So. An acrostic for you all.

Autumn, why arrive?
Underneath the leaves which hide the ground and make people slip
Twirling to the ground, the leaves are.
Under my list of things I don't like
Making us wake up to wind, to school, to rain.
No, the colours aren't pretty, no, not at all.

Whereas, on the other hand my little poem about Winter is just joyful.

Winter, wooly hats.
Indoors with hot chocolate
Nearly freezing, but, do we care?
Talking to our relatives that we haven't seen in so long
Everyone is happy
Really, Winter is the season we long.

Hey ho Row Row

Music is like BLEH in my opinion, well a lot of it. So in school I felt the urge to sing. We did religion singing but the first 3 songs didn't satisfy me. Guess what did????

A song, very Irish I suppose. Well yeah (and thoose of you who know *winks at MM and Rach* don't say) and the first line:

Hei-dil-dí ei-dil-dum, di-di-lí ei-dil-dé

Crazy huh?

Noticing

AnywayI just noticed, people don't notice enough. Detail is important. Don't just read a book, notice a book. I just noticed that my keyboard is dusty. Most people would just continue with what they were doing and never notice until it became the leaning tower of dust balls.
Keep your eye wide open. You could notice something that's worth it.

The Bird Stuck up my chimney

When I got home from school, I notcied a loud crowing sound. At first my Dad joked and said a man came to look at our chimney and got stuck. Then I realised it was a bid. I heard it getting louder as I ate my ice-cream. It was crowing really loudly and then it stopped for a minute, started again, stopped, crowed quitely and stopped. I'm a bit freaked out about this because I have mild (in-between) bird phobia.

~Maeve.

P.S I'll try to get the comments fixed.
